Burns Supper and Dance
Rousay's Burns Supper and Dance 2012 will be held on Friday 3 February, at Rousay School, 7.30pm for 8pm start.
All welcome for a delicious haggis supper, followed by plenty of traditional dancing!
Rousay, Egilsay, Wyre and Gairsay Community Council Meeting
Rousay, Egilsay, Wyre and Gairsay Community Council is next due to meet on Saturday 4 February, 10.15am, at Rousay School.
Staff from the Council's Housing Division will also be attending, and will be giving a brief presentation on
'Local Letting Initiatives', to which members of the public are invited to come along and give their views.
Church Services
There will be two church services at the Church Centre throughout February (Saturday 4 and Saturday 18), both at 11.30am.

KGS School Week Review Meeting
There will be a special consultation meeting at Rousay School,
on the recent proposals to make changes to the school week at Kirkwall Grammar School.
The meeting, to which all parents are invited, will start at 2.15pm on Tuesday 7 February.
The proposals include starting the school day earlier (at 8.35am), with a later finish on Mondays and Tuesdays (to 3.35pm),
and an earlier finish for the rest of the week (2.45pm), to enable three more periods per week.
Pupils living on Rousay, Egilsay
and Wyre would be particularly affected by these potential changes, as they do not fit in with the present transport connections.
Musical Evening
Come along to a musical evening at the Pier Restaurant on Saturday 11 February, from 9pm.
Don't forget to bring along your instrument!
SWRI Meeting
Rousay SWRI next meets on Tuesday 14 February, with an Open Meeting at Rousay School, 8pm.
The evening will feature a 'Display of Old Objects and Antiques Road Show', with Neil Leask and Chris Gee.
