Church Services
Church services will be held at the Church Centre on Sunday 3rd and 17th
August, from 11.30am. There will also be a church service with Graeme Brown, on
Wednesday 27th, from 2.15pm.
RHS Annual Show
The RHS Annual Show will be held at the school, on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
It will be open to the public from 2.30 - 4pm, with prize-giving at 4pm. Refreshments will be
available all afternoon.
Entries for the show will be accepted on Friday 1st August, from
7.30 - 9pm. Anyone needing help getting their entries to the school should contact Dianne Hull
on 821225.
Show entries from Egilsay and
Wyre are very welcome.
Everyone is very welcome to attend the RHS show.
Taversoe Innquizition
The Taversoe Hotel's fortnightly quiz - August's quizzes will be held on Tuesday 12th
and 26th, at 8pm.
Fun Day at the Pier Restaurant
There will be a Fun Day at the Pier Restaurant, on Saturday 16th August, from
2pm.
There will be the following: Happy Hippy Flower Power Fancy Dress Competition - for children and
adults; Pig Racing; Inter District Rounder Match - 8 per team; Kart Racing - kids make
a kart to race; BBQ; Evening Music; Raffle; and many other games and activities.
North Isles Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition
On the weekend of 30th/31th August, Rousay will be hosting the North Isles Clay Pigeon
Shooting Competition, with teams from all of the North Isles invited. Last year saw the Mainland, Stronsay,
Eday and Rousay competing, and this year "promises to be another weekend full of shooting and fun".

The Orkney Mobile Library will be visiting Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre on 14th August.
